Northern Trust’s Land and Development Division are delighted to announce an extremely positive 6 months with major residential planning permissions across a number of sites. The Company has been successful in securing consent for over 2,500 new houses on a mixture of greenfield and previously developed land.
Six planning permissions have been approved in Lancashire covering more than 2,000 homes, in Blackpool, St Annes, Kirkham, Pilling, Inskip and Singleton; whilst a planning application for 400 houses on a semi derelict industrial estate in North Tyneside has also recently been granted.
Stephen Glenn, Land Executive at Northern Trust commented “It has been a busy but very successful 6 months and we are pleased to have secured the planning permissions on each of the sites, some of which have been particularly challenging. We have worked closely with the respective planning authorities, members of the community and other key stakeholders to deliver much need housing. All of the sites are quite different in scale and character, but each will bring considerable benefits, including jobs, regeneration, and investment into the areas concerned, together with addressing the shortfall in local housing supply.”
Northern Trust are actively looking for new opportunities either as a straight purchase or on a planning promotion/Join Venture partnership basis. To view the full press release please click here.
