Village Hall & New Housing Development for Weeton Approved

Detailed planning consent has been granted to Northern Trust and Jones Homes for the construction of a new village hall, 16 new market homes and 4 affordable homes in Weeton.

The plans form part of a partnership scheme with the Village Hall Charity, and includes the replacement of the existing village hall, which dates back from the First World War. A spokesperson for Northern Trust commented “We are delighted that Jones Homes has acquired the land and will be developing the new market homes. As a longstanding landowner on the Fylde Coast, Northern Trust is pleased to have the opportunity to work with a partner who has a strong reputation for delivering high quality new homes.”

John Roocroft, Regional Director for Jones Homes, adds “We are delighted to be creating a new housing community in Weeton. There has not been any new housing in the parish for a long time, so it’s n exciting chapter for Jones Homes to be investing in this rural and very sought-after location. Designed to appeal to a variety of homebuyers, from young professional, first time buyers to families looking for a carefully designed new home; the development will comprise a collection of 3 bedroom semi-detached and 4 and 5 bedroom detached properties. Work is expected to start on site in the coming months, with the first properties set for completion later this year.”
