Northern Trust has again joined forces with local house builder, Fellows Homes to provide a second new housing development in Chorley. The new development is located at Duke Street, and follows on from the success of The Village Garden new housing scheme at Quarry Road, where the final phase of development is nearing completion.

Following the successful detailing planning application, work on the first phase of the development is expected to commence later in the year. Fellows Homes will be undertaking the construction work on the site and when completed, the development will provide 70 new homes in a range of 2 and 3 bedroom terraced, semi-detached and detached family house types. A proportion of affordable housing is also included and incorporates a range of 1 and 2 bed apartments.

Metacre Limited has confirmed that new plans for construction of a new village hall in Weeton have now been submitted. The plans form part of a partnership scheme with Village Hall Charity, which includes the proposal for 20 homes including a proportion of affordable housing on land at Mythop Road.

Northern Trust has announced that it has joined up with Utility Management Consultants Apollo Energy to provide a range of utility management services for its occupiers.

Apollo Energy are already utility management consultants to Whittle Jones, managing agents acting on behalf of Northern Trust; and their service covers contract procurement, through to the installation of smart meters and supply capacity reduction. Northern Trust has officially opened the first phase of its new industrial/workshop development, Gerards Park in St Helens.

The 30,878 sq ft scheme, located off College Street was formerly unveiled at a breakfast reception on the 15th November when Northern Trust welcomed local dignataries, council representatives, and members of the business community to the new development.

With the assistance of European Regional Development Fund money, Northern Trust plans to develop out the site in three phases. The first phase of which comprises of 21 units split into three blocks with sizes ranging from 537 sq ft up to 3,789 sq ft.

Arley Homes has confirmed that two of its new housing developments at The Maples. Fulwood and The Meadows in Coppull have completely sold out.

Both developments have been built on land formerly owned by Northern Trust, and have seen the creation of 52 family homes in total. Northern Trust secured outline planning consent for residential development on both sites before selling to Arley Homes, who subsequently obtained details planning permission, built and sold the schemes.
