VILLAGE HALL PLANS TAKE A STEP CLOSER

Metacre Limited has confirmed that new plans for construction of a new village hall in Weeton have now been submitted. The plans form part of a partnership scheme with Village Hall Charity, which includes the proposal for 20 homes including a proportion of affordable housing on land at Mythop Road.
The application follows in excess of 12 months’ work with the Village Hall Charity to design a scheme which has the overwhelming support of the community.
A spokesperson on behalf of Metacre Ltd commented “As a longstanding landowner on the Fylde Cast with a particular connection to the community of Weeton we are pleased to have the opportunity to work with the Village Hall Charity on this exciting scheme which will see the construction of a new hall for the village.”
As part of the application the existing village hall, which dates from the First World War will be replaced with a modern facility funded entirely by Metacre. The new hall will allow a wider range of services to be offered from a modern building fit for future generations.
