On behalf of the landowner, Northern Trust Company Limited would like to invite residents to a public exhibition on the 17th May 2013 to view new plans for the sports and tourism-led redevelopment of the former Holiday Centre.
The new plans are the result of extensive consultation with the Local Authority, community, key stakeholders and following involvement in the Neighbourhood Plan process.
The scheme will now provide new sports fields, a high quality touring caravan and camping site with facilities building with a cafe, extensive recreational opportunities and will secure considerable ecological benefits for the peninsula. The number of new family and affordable homes has been reduced by 30% from previous proposals and the proposed carehome has been removed.
A spokesperson for Northern Trust said “We have listened carefully to the concerns expressed by the community and have responded positively by making a number of significant changes to the scheme. In addition to redeveloping a derelict brownfield site two key aspects of the plans are the new sports and recreational pitches for Brixham, and the high quality touring park with facilities building providing a mixture of touring caravan, camper and camping pods. We have been encouraged by initial feedback to the proposals and are now seeking the views from the wider Brixham community.

The public exhibition event will be held at the Clubhouse, Brixham RFC, Rae Barn Road, Brixham on Friday 17th May between 12.00 pm – 7:30 pm.
