Northern Trust and Bloor Homes are pleased that the planning application for the Carrington Centre redevelopment has been approved, following recommendation for approval.
The plans include a new retail parade of 8 shops, library, a 4,000 sq ft food retail store and 62 family homes in a range of 3, 4 and 5 bedrooms, including a proportion of affordable houses. The housing element of the scheme will be developed by Bloor Homes.
A spokesperson from Bloor Homes said, “This scheme reflects the local demand for housing in this area and we look forward to working with the community and Local Authority on bringing this important development to fruition”.
A spokesperson for Northern Trust added, “We have worked closely with our tenants at the centre, the local authority and Bloor Homes in progressing the planning permission on this site, which is a vital hub for the centre of Eccleston. The scheme will provide a modern fit for purpose facility for the village and surrounding areas. We will now be progressing construction of the retail centre while keeping the majority of the shops open for trading and look forward to completion of this essential development.”
